I was a little bit late to jump on this bandwagon, but I got around to playing with ChatGPT. This thing is absolutely bonkers.

To summarize, ChatGPT is an AI chatbot. You feed it with a prompt, and it returns an output. The difference between ChatGPT and your grandpa's Facebook bot is that ChatGPT is on a whole different level when it comes to comprehension.

Three Little Pigs goes dark

My first experiment was to get it to give me The Three Little Pigs in a lexile level low enough for a two year old. It worked well, lot's of bits from the story got cut but that was maybe for simplicity's sake. Next, I tried seeing if it can change the style of it. So I asked ChatGPT for a sinister variation of the story, and boy did it deliver!

ChatGPT understands Afrikaans

I also wanted to check if it can understand other langauges. I figured that Afrikaans might be a good test, considering it's not that widely used. Again, this AI just blew me away.

Basically, I asked it if it understands Afrikaans, it replied with yes, it can, so I asked it what the theme of the book Kringe in 'n bos (Rings in a Bush) is. And the response is something a high school Afrikaans teacher would be proud of!

I'll play with ChatGPT some more in my spare time and update any cool things I discover here.
